We are currently looking for a Enterprise Solutions Architect,  to join the Thales+ Vormetric, a subsidiary of Thales USA, Team in Boston, MA.

The mission Enterprise Solutions Architect is to successfully deliver Thales e-Security’s Vormetric encryption technology solutions with exceptional quality and to solve the security needs and deployment demands of our customers. 

We are looking for a proven professional with a bias for action that will be responsible for designing solutions and leading our customers and their teams through large deployment projects. This position will operate across organizational groups within customer
environments to drive the standardization of encryption and deployment best practices. 

The successful candidate will be viewed and serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) and must be fluent in security and architectural domains, as customers will look to this person for guidance on implementation and best practices for their enterprise. 

Primary Responsibilities:
Lead encryption efforts that are of strategic importance across customer organizations
Align the Vormetric solution with customer’s security and encryption objectives
Lead collaboration with (business and technology) stakeholders, subject matter experts, development teams, domain architects, and business analysts to build strategy, and processes related to organization wide initiatives  
Provide guidelines/best practices and direction to domain architects on business and implementation process 
Operate across organizational groups to drive standardization of common approaches and best practices. 
Responsible for far-ranging projects, teams and systems, the role requires exceptional versatility including: project leadership; technology planning; formal and informal communication; requirements analysis; product evangelism
Deliver hands-on training and expert knowledge transfer, creating subject matter experts within the customer organization
This senior role requires the ability to master many competing factors to form correct judgments and recommendations that balance current and anticipated business and technology needs.  In addition, may be required to: 
Participate in guiding customer’s enterprise strategy for encryption of varying forms of data and use cases 
Evaluate and optimize the use of Vormetric products, technology infrastructure and processes 
Actively identify and pursue improvements, solve problems. Build relationships that foster trust, collaboration and teamwork. 

30 Day Objectives:
Complete introduction with technology and business teams/stakeholders 
Complete overview of all high level services supporting Vormetric platform
Participate along with a Vormetric services leader on 3 to 5 deployment activities
At the end of the period, deliver a mock-training on Vormetric product to Services leadership
60 Day Objectives:
Work collaboratively with Services team members to complete delivery of 3 or more small to medium size engagements 
Submit one or more written process enhancements to existing field guides/process documents
90 Day Objectives:
Independently lead and deliver multiple small to medium size solution projects 
Identify 3-5 high impact areas for changes or consolidation of technology, process, training, service delivery, etc.
Role-Based Competencies:

Analytical skills: Must possess critical thinking and structured problem solving to address root causes.  Must be able to identify threats, poor practices, etc., and then lead customers to making impactful decisions.
Listening skills: Must be capable of hearing, understanding and rearticulating multiple, sometimes competing objectives as they are delivered, and check for understanding and accuracy. 
Communication skills: Must be able to see and communicate (verbally and visually) Vormetric’s encryption strategy and deployment methodology in an inspiring way. Determines opportunities and threats through comprehensive analysis of current and future trends.

Skills 
Requirements:
Ability to travel up to 40%
Ability to lift 40 lbs.
Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience delivering professional services and training, preferably for large scale enterprise customers
Proven ability to manage multiple ongoing projects 
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems or related field of study 
Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills. Expert in communicating complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical professionals. 
Familiarity with general encryption techniques and usage 
General understanding of storage systems and volume managers
Positive attitude, excellent collaborator with ability to work independently

Preferred Qualifications:
Proven large project/program leadership and hand-on deployment experience 
Strong abilities troubleshooting and tuning distributed environments processing high volume of transactions 
Proven history and experience with any of the following technologies:
Oracle, MySQL, SQL Server, NoSQL, Big Data, VMWare, AWS, Azure
Bash or PowerShell scripting 
In depth technical understanding of systems, databases, networking, and computing environments 
Experience with highly available applications / databases
