Manager IS
The core function of this role is to ensure uninterrupted IS functionality to business which includes application support, integration development, application development, MIS Report development.
To manage and support all existing applications and ensure 100% uptime of application environment.
Support end users on any application related issues.
Provide data extracts and reports as needed by end users, department and management.
Develop business specific reports.
Evaluate and present application solutions as per business requirements and brief provided by management.
Undertake and deliver all integration and process automation projects
Manage all system upgrades, change management and technological changes related
To the software used.
Plan, direct & monitor the co-ordination of all prioritised projects within the overall approved
Plan, scope, budget and time frames (multi-project management). In addition, to perform all
SDLC and post live support activities.
To ensure capacity and performance planning is maintained.
To ensure that all individual projects comply with defined standards and target application
Architecture.
To ensure that all individual project plans will be integrated into the overall multiple-project
plan.
To ensure that all individual project objectives are met within specified timeframes, scope
and budget and are delivered according to set quality standards.
Reporting on projects and status.
To manage all SLA's with service providers and customers.
To co-ordinate the outputs of the various projects and the smooth implementation into organisation.
To apply the applicable methodologies and best practices with regard to project planning,
analysis and design, development, management, testing, implementation and after
Implementation follows up and closes out.
Ensure procedure documents and training material is up to date.
To identify technical and managerial challenges associated with the project and
Implement corrective actions.
To assess and respond to the risks inherent to the project.
To manage the staff processes of the position such as recruitment, selection,
Performance management and development
Bachelors Degree in IT.
Higher Level Degree /Post Graduate Degree preferred.
Project Management Professional (PMP) registered.
Background of application programming and business analysis is preferred .
Candidates from BFSI would be preferred.
10 to 12 years as an IS manager.
Project Management methodologies – in depth knowledge and must be able to apply.
Proficient is Microsoft Server technology including Windows domain, Exchange 2003 and application servers.
Project Management experience will be added advantage.
Experience in BFSI industry will be added advantage.
SDLC - must be able to apply Systems Development Life Cycle methodologies.
IT knowledge – basics of for example development standards, databases, architecture,
Communication mediums, interfaces etc.
Must have run some major re-engineering software projects.
Experience in Java, PHP web application technologies.
Experience on managing and administering Web logic application server implementation.
Experience in System Integration, interfaces, Batch scripts, day end batches is essential.
Experience in ETL (Extract, Transform and Load) tools and data warehousing is critical.
Hands on Experience on Microsoft BI stack and Sharepoint development.
Expertise on PL/SQL.
Hands-on experience on Sql/Sybase / Oracle databases.
Understanding of Unit trust business process will be preferable.
Person should be able to learn the business process quickly.
Expertise on Log analysis, problem identification and resolution.
Prior Experience on Sungard Application Suite (InvestOne, Decalog, Xamin,) is preferable.
